About Us

Forest Capital Humane Society, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Our mission is to rescue, nurture, and adopt companion animals in an effort to save those who are facing euthanasia and to promote education in the schools and community to reduce animal cruelty, overpopulation, and to advance the highest standards in animal welfare.

Our communtiy faces an epidemic of neglected and thrown-away animals. The local animal control shelter is bursting at the seams with abandoned, neglected, and sick dogs and cats - many are and will be euthanized to make room for more.

We can do better.

As a community, we can work together to reduce the number of animals euthanized right here in our town. We can reduce the overpopulation by implementing strong spay and neuter programs. Every pet owner can do his or her part by having their furry family member spayed or neutered. In addition to reducing unwanted litters, spay or neuter has many health benefits for your pet. We can limit the number of animals suffering from heartworms and other diseases. By taking preventive measures early, we will have a community of healthy, loving pets.

We are a animal loving city and county. Killing an animal because there is no where for them to go is unacceptable. Our adoption program will make it easier and more affordable for every family to enjoy a pet as a new family member.

Nothing is impossible if we all work together. Forest Capital Humane Society, Inc., needs your help to save the animals, and to make them all healthier and safer. More importantly, help them find a forever home.
